Happy (almost) Birthday to Me!

Hi there, well the plans have been made sorta,  I'm going to go to Hamilton on Thursday to hang out with Lindsay for my birthday (which is on Friday) not 100% sure how long I'm going to stay.  I have Monday off from work too so I've got a nice 4 day weekend going on.

On another note..

Busy Weekend

Well it was a weekend of family for me this past weekend.  First off,  my parents show up at my door at 7:00 on Friday night.  I knew that they would be coming,  but I was expecting them on Saturday morning,  you see my 14 year old cousin Isabeau's mom died on Friday and my parents came up to make sure she was okay.  Nothing like an unexpected death to bring a family together.  I should say that really,  they were the only ones who really made an effort to come,  and they had been on vacation in Picton so it was only a 2 hour drive. My aunt from Montreal also flew in for the weekend,  but she had already had the trip planned.  My parents and I met my uncle and my cousin on Saturday morning for breakfast and 2 of my other aunts also met us there.  Then my parents were on the road by noon and back to Cornwall.
Yesterday I went downtown and met my aunts and my cousin and step-cousin and we went on one of the harbour cruises and then lunch at a restaurant down by the harbour. It was a nice day we all went back to my aunt's house in Brampton where I watched the second jaws movie with my cousins Rebecca and Isabeau and then we had a big bbq dinner.  Dinner in my family means more than a burger and some chips on the side of the plate,  in my family it means preparing enough food to keep everyone eating for at least three hours. It was pretty insane,  I'm still full!
After dinner my uncle drove me home,  he's the one who lives practically across the street from IKEA and then I went to the Pauls and hung out for awhile. On my way there Lindsay called and wanted to make some plans for my birthday,  sounds good to me as long as jacquie (the girl at work I loned money to so she could get Prince tickets) pays me back this week we're going to have a grand ol' time!

Thunder and Lightening, Oh MY!

So I'm sure you all heard the storm last night, it was nuts. I felt like I was at a dance club between the pounding thunder and flashing lightening!

I don't like being woken up!

Yawn...Good morning

Well it's been a few days since I've updated, Karin came down this weekend as planned. She got to my place around 9:00 friday evening, where we had a feast of yummy nachos when she got there. Then the Pauls actually made the gruelling trek across the street over to our place!

We hung out on the balcony. It was good times.

On Saturday I woke up and made kickass pancakes, and that's not just me being vain they were really really good pancakes!!!

Then we all got ready and went up to Woodbine and saw Farenheit 911, it was really good but I was a little disappointed because it didn't discuss anything that he hasn't already talked about in his books "Stupid White Men" and "Dude Where's My Country" I was hoping to see more of Michael Moore making guys in business suits look unconfortable.

After the movie we went back home and ordered chinese and ate until we thought we'd barf, then karin and I went over to the Fox and Fiddle up the street and had a couple of pictures and spent most of the night hanging out with these three deaf guys.

All in all it was good, Karin left pretty early on Sunday morning as she wasn't sure what time she would have to be back at camp and she was also having brunch with her brother.

Yesterday was pretty quiet for me stuck close to home for the most part, went for a bit of a walk and over to the Paul's.

But I should be back to work now, I'll post more later!

UGH! I HATE BUGS!!!!!

There was a HUGE gazillion-apede that crawled out of one of my files today!!! GROSS ME OUT!!! I FLIPPED!!!! I couldnt' even sit at my desk for like na hour afterwards, we can't find the bug and if I see it again I'm going to have a heart attack!
Karin's Coming!

Well this weekend has the makings of a good one. Karin is coming in tonight from camp, she's catching the CasinoRama bus in from Orillia.
Other than that today has the makings of a slack day at work. Right now I just want to have a nap! but hopefully after I finish this coffee I'll feel a little more alert. I literally have nothing to do today, I've been here for just over an hour and I've done everything I needed to do. I'm not sure what I'm going to do to kill time but blogging seems to be a good start. This way I'm typing so I can type in a pattern that makes it sound like I'm actually doing work. Can you believe that I actually go to this extent to look busy?

MSN Hotmail Member Services

Although I welcome these changes, I still think that it's too little too late from the hotmail people, they're obviously as frightened as yahoo about the obvious threat that gmail is creating. As far as I'm concerned it is too little too late though, I've got my gmail and I'm slowly making the transistion to that, I'll still keep my hotmail but mostly for MSN and nostalgic purposes. But it is somewhat nice to see that they're responding to the competition and realizing that 2MB isn't cutting it in this day and age!

Absolutely Fantastic!

I am still revelling in the spectacular show that I saw last night.

The set was great and had songs from all albums, well from SCIENCE to A Crow Left Of The Murder.

I took over 70 pictures and I will be posting them on my yahoo album when I get home from work tonight and capture them onto my machine, I almost wish that I had taken today off just so I could be working on that now....well in reality it's 8:47am, so I'd be working on sleep RIGHT NOW, but you get the idea I'm sure.

Parts of the concert that blew mw away....

-Brandon playing guitar, I've never seen that live before but he pulled it out for "drive" and another song I can't remember (I dont' have a photographic memory of the set list) and then again at the beginning of the encore for "Pantomime"

-They had this kickass Kilmore solo interlude during "Certain Shade Of Green"

-When they brought a drum kit out for Ben to play and so they had Jose, Ben and brandon all playing drums for like 5 minutes, and damn man Jose played longer and harder than I've ever seen!!!

-During "Drive" Mike played back and forth between the keyboard and guitar, it was a really amazing sight. Just because he produced for Kelly Osbourne doesn't mean he's all bad. But Alanis' band sure missed out when they didn't select him when he auditioned for her big tour (we all know there was only one).

I've been trying to track down a set list but I'm not having any luck, the ones they're showing on the Incubus-Online-view.com message boards are wrong, so far. When I get one that looks right I'll post it when I find it.

Fortunately there weren't many people in the row behind us, I was afraid that all the bastards who go to meet the band would be there and talking about it since they auctioned off that whole row, but most of the seats were empty, I guess they had already bought other tickets or something.

With the exception of the usher who told me like 10 times not to take any pictures it was all good, can you imagine how many I would have taken if she hadn't been such a hard ass!!!

Today is THE DAY!!!!!

Well finally after months and months of waiting, tonight is INCUBUS!!!!!!
Hopefully, my fresh new eardrum will survive, I accidently on puropse yanked all the cotton out yesterday. I was just trying to get some out so that I'd be able to fit an earplug in and it all came out, I'll spare you the details but if you thought that my flipping ear theory was gross that had nothing on this! And if you want the flipping ear story let me know and I'll email it to you, I almost made Karin barf when I told it to her and Paul looked a little squemish too.

So tonight is going to be great, I'm planning on not getting there too early before the show because the entire row behind me is going to be filled with the lucky bastards who won the VIP tickets in the Make Yourself Foundation auctions. I really wanted to win some of those but because I was at home for the first ones and although I was here for the last one I didn't win I didn't click fast enough! Which is probably for the best because I am pretty broke.

I can't wait though!!! Hopefully I'll get around to doing it tonight but it might have to wait till tomorrow I'm going to setup another yahoo photo album so you can all see how awsome it is, I'm just hoping that they're not going to hassle me about my camera. I dont' imagine they will but you never know what kind of mood these rent-a-cops are going to be in!

I'll at the very least write tonight to let you know how kickass the show is!!!!!
