Good Day All! Admittedly I have been neglecting my blog as of recent days, and as I am sure you guys are all missing my usual observations of life I am here today to renew the tradition.
As you know from my last post I was able to catch the "Incubus Live @ Much" show which was (obviously) kick-ass!
The album hit stores on Feb 3rd, one week ago today and as you already have guessed I'm sure I got it on my way home from work. I was going to get it on the way to work but the only record store on my commute route is in Dufferin Mall and that wasn't opened at 8:00am.
So, I think that the album is Awesome and it has generally gotten pretty good reviews, with the exception of a scathing attack by some bitter metal head writer in Chart. It's a shame that the only published Canadian opinion is anti-incubus.

As a natural critic I respect the fact that this writer is taking his available forum to express his opinion, although I don't agree with it. Of course a quick glance at his other reviews and we see he's got nothing good to say about "The End" either, although I've never even heard of this band, so he could be right they could suck.
but I prefer to believe that this Keith Carman guy is a sexually deprived, self-loathing failed musician and makes any poke possible at bands with talent who actually have the support to make an album. But hey, that's just my opinion.
But before I move on here lets take a look at some of his other comments...
"It’s cool that Lanegan branches out and tries shit, but this disc almost refuses to utilize his vocal abilities, plodding along and being weird for weird’s sake. At times it seems like even he doesn’t know what to do with an album’s worth of freedom, which means he should probably just shut up"
-On MARK LANEGAN BAND-Here Comes That Weird Chill
Lanegan is best known for being in Queens of the Stone Age
"Welcome to your skip button’s best workout."
-On THE OFFSPRING-Splinter
"his bag of shit is like the mixed tape your psycho stalker would conjure up, imagining ways such wussy songs link the two of you spiritually or something like that. Avoid it like mom with a suppository. "
-On VARIOUS ARTISTS-Haggard O.S.T. (this comment is actually pretty funny)
"I think that in some weird way, that’s the point: listening to Gesundheit isn’t supposed to be like riding in a Cadillac. It’s more like Hobbes strapping himself to Calvin’s red wagon as it hurtles down some insane hill. But it’s a really tough wagon"

Oh and to end it all off,
